A new festive experience is bringing the holiday spirit to Surrey, and it’s every bit as enchanting as you’d imagine. “Fabulously Festive,” a winter wonderland created by the team at Absolutely Fabulous Events, opens on 16th November at the charming Hurtwood Park Polo Country Club in Ewhurst. Running through 5th January 2025, this unique experience is designed to captivate the senses with a mix of traditional holiday magic and immersive attractions that promise something memorable for every visitor.
The Christmas Village will dazzle with twinkling lights, a delightful line-up of festive stalls, and traditional market vendors selling handmade crafts, unique gifts, and delicious seasonal treats. For young visitors (and the young at heart), a series of enchanting activities awaits: Mrs. Christmas’s Reindeer Food Kitchen, where kids can create treats for Santa’s reindeer, and the Elf Postal Service, a whimsical spot where little ones can pen letters to Father Christmas and send them straight to the North Pole. Each completed activity earns them a stamp in their Christmas Village passport, which adds a lovely sense of adventure to the day.
At the heart of the event is the Après Ski Bar, an inviting alpine-inspired retreat perfect for cosying up with a festive ale, mulled wine, or classic hot chocolate while enjoying live music and entertainment. There’s also an undercover ice rink, traditional fairground rides, and gourmet food stalls featuring seasonal flavours, making this winter wonderland a full-day experience.
No Christmas event would be complete without a visit to Father Christmas. Families can follow a snowy, twinkling path to his cozy study, where children will enjoy a captivating, interactive storyline with Father Christmas and his elves. Along the way, they’ll join the elves in a special challenge before meeting the man himself, ready to share their Christmas wishes and receive a keepsake gift.
