All Points East Festival Returns To Victoria Park

This summer, the iconic All Points East Festival returns to Victoria Park in East London, offering an unparalleled blend of music, culture, and luxury. Spanning ten days, this year's festival features a line-up of world-class artists, each bringing their unique flair to the stage. Here’s a day-by-day breakdown of the must-see acts:

August 16

On August 16th, the festival kicks off with a night of eclectic excellence, headlined by the genre-defying Kaytranada. The Montreal-based producer and DJ has captivated global audiences with his innovative fusion of electronic, hip-hop, and R&B. His ground-breaking sound has earned him widespread acclaim, including two Grammy Awards for his album Bubba, where he made history as the first Black artist to win Best Dance/Electronic Album. Fans can look forward to an electrifying performance featuring fresh tracks from his latest album, Timeless, released on June 7th.

Following Kaytranada on stage is Victoria Monét, making her only UK performance of the year. Known for her sultry R&B vibes and collaborations with artists like Ariana Grande and BLACKPINK, Monét’s 2024 album JAGUAR II has already earned her two Grammys. Her set is expected to be a festival highlight, delivering a captivating mix of smooth vocals and infectious energy.

Also performing is Tems, the Nigerian singer and producer who has been redefining the Nigerian music scene with her unique blend of alternative R&B and neo-soul. Tems rose to prominence in 2020 through collaborations with Wizkid and Drake, solidifying her place with her debut EP For Broken Ears. Her work with Future and Drake earned her a Grammy Award and nominations for an Oscar, Golden Globe, and another Grammy for co-writing "Lift Me Up" with Rihanna. Her debut album, Born in the Wild, was released on June 7th, and she’s set to showcase it live at the festival.

Neko Bennett, known professionally as 4batz, will also light up the stage, bringing the energy that catapulted him to fame in 2023 with his viral single “Act II: Date @ 8.” The remix featuring Drake propelled him into the Billboard Hot 100’s top ten, cementing his rising star status. His debut mixtape, U Made Me a St4r, released earlier this year, continues to showcase his dynamic talent.

The lineup for this night also includes a diverse range of artists: singer-songwriter Durand Bernarr, British rapper and singer Blanco, R&B artist Maeta, Brixton’s own Nia Smith, emerging Nigerian talent Bloody Civilian, and the vividly expressive Atlanta artist Maleigh Zan.

Thundercat, the virtuoso bassist known for his genre-blending sound, promises a mesmerizing performance, following his recent collaboration with Tame Impala. Rising star Lancey Foux will bring his unique blend of rap and alternative sounds, while Channel Tres infuses the festival with grooves that blend Detroit techno and West Coast rap. Amaarae, with her global influence, and underground favourite Jyoty round out the night with diverse, genre-spanning performances.

August 17

The second day of All Points East promises a dynamic mix of iconic performers and rising stars, making for an unforgettable festival experience.

Loyle Carner headlines with his only London show of 2024, bringing his critically acclaimed live performance to Victoria Park. Fresh off a string of sold-out shows, including a standout performance at the Royal Albert Hall, Carner's 2022 album hugo remains a powerful testament to his lyrical prowess, blending deeply personal and political themes. Known for his engaging stage presence and impactful music, this set will be a must-see.

Nas, the legendary rapper, adds star power to the lineup with a rare UK appearance. With a career spanning decades and classics like Illmatic, Nas’s influence on hip-hop is monumental. His performance at All Points East is set to be a historic moment.

Ezra Collective, fresh from winning the Mercury Prize for their album Where I’m Meant to Be, brings their vibrant blend of jazz, afrobeat, and grime to the stage. Known for their energetic live shows, their set promises to be a festival highlight.

Sainté delivers his unique West Coast-inspired blend of hip-hop, jazz, and R&B, while Joe James brings raw rhymes and emotional depth, making him a standout in the UK rap scene.

ENNY, who broke out with her hit “Peng Black Girls,” returns to All Points East with her soulful, socially conscious rap. Her recent EP We Go Again features a collaboration with Loyle Carner, adding to the anticipation for her set.

Navy Blue, the L.A.-based rapper and producer, known for his introspective lyrics and collaborations with Earl Sweatshirt, rounds out the day with a performance that is sure to resonate with fans of underground rap.

August 18

August 18th at All Points East features an eclectic lineup, culminating in a mesmerizing performance by Mitski, marking her final European appearance in support of her critically acclaimed album, The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We. This record has earned widespread acclaim, including the hit single “My Love Mine All Mine,” which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and surpassed 1 billion streams globally. Mitski, with over 7 billion career streams, stands as a powerful presence in the music world, currently ranking as the #99 highest streaming artist on Spotify.

Men I Trust, the Canadian indie band renowned for their dreamy pop sound, will bring their captivating melodies to the stage. Comprising Emma Proulx, Jessy Caron, and Dragos Chiriac, the trio has gained acclaim for their self-produced albums and intimate live performances, creating a unique and genre-defying musical experience.

Suki Waterhouse will deliver an intimate set showcasing her blend of personal storytelling through music. Known for her multifaceted career as an actress and model, Waterhouse’s debut album I Can’t Let Go and recent tracks like “My Fun” and “Faded” highlight her evolving artistry.

Dan Whitlam, a London-based rapper and poet, will add his lyrical depth to the mix, alongside Lucius, the indie band celebrated for their harmonious pop-noir sound. Emerging artists Good Neighbours will also perform, following the success of their viral track “Home.”

Additional performers include Hana Vu, Molly Payton, Emily Jeffri, Sienna Spiro, and Jacob Alon, each bringing their distinctive style to what promises to be an extraordinary day of music at All Points East.

August 23

LCD Soundsystem will headline Uber One presents All Points East on Friday, August 23, 2024. They will be joined by a stellar lineup, including elusive pop sensation Jai Paul, alt-rock icons Pixies, and eclectic artists like Floating Points, Jockstrap, Nation of Language, Sofia Kourtesis (Live), and Eyedress, with more names to be announced.

This follows the previously announced headliner Loyle Carner on Saturday, August 17. LCD Soundsystem, one of the most acclaimed US bands, began in 2002 under the vision of James Murphy. Their debut self-titled album included hits like ‘Losing My Edge’ and ‘Daft Punk Is Playing At My House’. Their 2007 album Sound of Silver solidified their status, featuring classics like ‘All My Friends’, and they later sold out Madison Square Garden in 2011. After a hiatus, they returned with American Dream in 2017 and have been performing residencies, including a six-night stint at Brixton’s O2 Academy in 2022.

British-Indian artist Jai Paul will make his UK festival debut at All Points East. Known for his mysterious releases, Paul gained fame with the 2010 demo ‘BTSTU’ and has since returned with new music and critically acclaimed live performances.

Pixies, renowned for their influence on the late '80s alt-rock scene, will also perform. Their genre-defining albums like Surfer Rosa and Doolittle have inspired many bands, and their live shows are known for their electrifying and unpredictable nature.

Floating Points, led by Sam Shepherd, has spent 2023 composing his first ballet, Mere Mortals, for the San Francisco Ballet. His critically acclaimed album Promises features collaborations with top artists and his latest single Birth4000 brings a high-energy sound to his live performances.

Nation of Language, who debuted in 2020 with Introduction, Presence, will bring their danceable take on new wave and post-punk to the festival.

August 25

On Sunday, August 25, 2024, All Points East will feature a stellar lineup headlined by LANY. Known for their dreamy, dance-infused pop and smooth R&B vibe, LANY first hit the charts with their 2017 self-titled debut and have since earned US Top 40 hits with Malibu Nights and Mama’s Boy. Their 2023 album, a beautiful blur, soared into the Top Five in Australia.

Also performing are the female-led band Say She She, celebrated for their discodelic soul and nod to late '70s girl groups. With over 20 million streams and acclaim from BBC 6 Music, their recent album Silver continues to impress.

The visionary band Everything Everything will bring their dystopian, art-pop style to the festival. Known for their critical acclaim and multiple nominations, including Ivor Novello and Mercury Prize, their latest album Mountainhead showcases their unique approach to music.

Brooklyn’s art punk band Gustaf, San Francisco’s punk outfit Spiritual Cramp, and alt-pop singer-songwriter Mehro will also be on stage. Electronic artist John-Robert, emerging folk and country artist Bo Staloch, New Zealand pop electronica artist Daily J, and Nottingham indie band Cucamaras will add to the diverse lineup.

The day will also feature a special celebration as The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie reunite for a 20th anniversary tour. Each band will perform their landmark 2003 albums, with The Postal Service making their first London appearance in over a decade. This performance will be a memorable highlight of All Points East, honoring two influential groups that have left a lasting impact on the music world.


This year’s All Points East offers more than just music.
